SYNOPSIS
Queen Won Gyeong, born into a prestigious family of high officials during the Goryeo era, was a woman of extraordinary ambition and resilience. She married Yi Bang Won, later known as Prince Jeong An, the brilliant and determined fifth son of King Tae Jo, the founder of the Joseon dynasty. Their union was more than a marriage—it was a partnership rooted in shared ambition and political acumen.
When King Tae Jo unexpectedly named his second son, Yi Bang Gwa, as the crown prince and heir to the throne, Lady Min and her husband were devastated. Yi Bang Won, a proven strategist and key architect of his father’s rise to power, felt sidelined and betrayed. Refusing to accept this decision, Lady Min became her husband's closest confidant and co-conspirator. Together, they orchestrated a series of calculated moves to secure Yi Bang Won’s path to the throne. Their plans were relentless, fueled by a desire to reclaim what they believed was rightfully theirs.
